University of Cabo Verde
The University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) is a higher education institution in Cape Verde established in 2006. It has five faculties (Faculty of Science and Technology; Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts; Faculty of Engineering and Marine Sciences; School of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Business and Governance School) and around five thousand students. At Uni-CV are undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various scientific fields. There are also some short courses and vocational/professional courses Uni-CV pursues, among others, the following purposes: promote human development; Fostering fundamental research activities; Promoting the entrepreneurial capacity of Cape Verdean society; Developing scientific Exchange.
João António Furtado Britois a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (FEUC) and the School of Economics and Management, University of Minho (EEG_UM). The research topics interests are macroeconomics, economic growth and development, small countries and financial area. He participated in some conferences at national and international level as a speaker in is research area. Actually is Assistant Professor at University of Cabo Verde, teaching in graduate and master levels and coordinator of Master Course in Economics and Finance
